(Daniel) Blake Shorter is a photographer born in the American South and living in Charleston, South Carolina, whose work documents and explores the worlds of art, fashion, and design with a considered eye that’s particularly attentive to depth of light, color, and emotion. A lifelong musician, he traveled the country playing drums in a touring band for the better part of a decade after studying film photography and history in college. Recently his photographic work has taken him from projects at home in Charleston and New York City, to alpine Colorado, London, and Los Angeles.
